The Biz!

As weeks go by, we continuously work hard. More and more people are finding out about the restaurant and the busier we get. Fridays look like a "normal" restaurant, we're busy for lunch and slammed for dinner! It's the end of the week, but for me it feels like the beginning of excitement, constant movement, and at the end of the day there is nothing better that printing our final days report on just how well we did. Seeing familiar faces day after day reminds us how satisfied they truely are with everything we've built up...encouragement to stick it out, suck it up, and keep producing good food! The best feeling comes from those who have never been here before and aren't even sure how they got here, but a few days later, after conversing and having tried what we have to offer, they come back and try something new. Seeing those first-timers again the second time and then the third, you know you've done your job right!

I'm lucky! I've started this business with my brother. Though we may argue and fight as any brother and sister would do, we know we have to overcome those challenges, better ourselves from them, and be stronger when we walk back out into the real world. We push each other to make things better, to make our food taste better, and our business run better!

It's a Girl!!!

Life is good! Will and Kayte are officially having a GIRL! The Saints are going to their first Superbowl this coming Sunday! And, Crawfish Season has official begun! I am so ready to start shopping and create baby things...all things PINK and Green!

A Louisiana Sunday!

Today is a day that most everyone in Louisiana is proud to be a part of such a great state. For the first time in years if not ever, the New Orleans Saints are playing the Minnesota Vikings for the NFC Championship and a chance at the Super Bowl XLIV (44) Championship title. Beyond the excitement that has swept across our small southern state, new energy has struck us with years Crawfish season. We started Crawfish season at the restaurant FRIDAY! Our biggest day yet has provided hope for our small business. Followed by a decent weekend and hopefully a great week to come. As our relationships grow stronger, business gets better, and our state prospers, I can only stop today, take a deep breath, and be so thankful for where I am in my life, the people I love, and all of the great things that are unfolding before my eyes! God is so good to me!!!

A new ME!

This is the start of hopefully something new and positive. I figured instead of using facebook status updates to constantly track my accomplishments, goals, and day-to-day events, I can use this blog as an online journal to jot all of those things down. I am beginning this year w/ positive "change," goals that are attainable, and a healthier way of living. My thoughts will display themselves as I am true to myself through struggles, accomplishments, and aspirations.
